For painting contractors
Painting company marketing that fills the estimate calendar
Painting is a visual, seasonal, referral-heavy business, and the estimate is where most jobs are won. MoFluent builds painting company marketing around that: estimate and colour consultation booking that does not need a phone call, before-and-after galleries that sell the work, campaigns that fill the exterior season early, and review requests sent at the final walkthrough. Toronto based, working with painters across Canada and the US.
Where painter marketing leaks
The work sells itself. The process around it often does not.
Homeowners and property managers judge a painter on the finish, but they choose one based on how easy the estimate was. These are the gaps we see most.
Estimate requests that wait for a callback
A form arrives while the crew is cutting in a ceiling. The callback happens two days later, after the homeowner has booked two other painters.
Exterior season crammed into a few months
Every exterior request seems to arrive in the same few weeks of spring. Without a plan, you either turn work away or book it so late the season ends first.
Residential and commercial on one page
A homeowner choosing a living room colour and a property manager repainting a hallway want different things. One generic page speaks to neither.
Finished rooms nobody photographs well
The best proof a painter has is a before-and-after pair. Most never make it past a phone camera roll.
What we build for painters
Painter marketing, set up and run for you
Every piece is connected to one CRM, so estimate requests, follow-ups and reviews are all in one place.
A painting contractor website
Separate pages for interior, exterior, cabinets and commercial work, before-and-after galleries, and an estimate form that asks about rooms, surfaces and timing.
02Estimate and colour consult booking
Homeowners book an estimate or colour consultation straight into your calendar, with confirmations and a reminder the day before.
03Google Maps and local SEO
A Google Business Profile set up for your service area, with new project photos every month and the services you want more of.
04Missed call text back
When you cannot answer on a job, the caller gets a text asking interior or exterior and how many rooms, plus a link to book.
05Estimate follow-up
Timed follow-up on every estimate you send, so quotes are not lost just because everyone was busy painting.
06Review requests
A short request sent after the final walkthrough, while the homeowner is enjoying the finished room.
What we have built for trades
Trades systems that are live today
We do not have a painting build to show you here. These live trades builds use the same parts a painting company needs: service pages, area pages, quote forms and a CRM behind them.
- Marrast Contracting, a licensed electrical contractor working across the GTA: a hand-coded 190-page site, quote forms with photo upload feeding the CRM, and a published lead-alert and confirmation workflow
- Ridge To River Electric in West Virginia: service and county pages, an estimate form into the CRM and a live call-tracking number
- Mark of Success Home Services, a GTA home renovation company: a consult-booking wizard that books straight into a calendar with text and email confirmations
What a free audit call covers
How customers get from finding you to booking an estimate.
- How long a web estimate request waits for a reply
- Whether a homeowner can book an estimate without calling
- How your galleries and Google photos show your work
- Which estimates went out with no follow-up
- When you start booking the exterior season
No obligation. Pricing comes after the call, once we know what needs fixing.
Painting company marketing, from estimate to review
Painting estimate leads are won on speed and clarity. The homeowner wants to know when you can come, what it will roughly involve, and whether you will show up. Here is how we set that up.
Estimate requests that collect the right details
The estimate form asks what you would ask on the phone: interior or exterior, how many rooms or storeys, ceilings and trim included or not, the condition of the surfaces, and the timing. Photos help a lot. Some jobs can be ranged from photos alone, and the rest get a booked site visit instead of a callback. Every request triggers an instant confirmation to the customer and an alert to you.
Colour consultations as a bookable step
Colour is where many homeowners get stuck. If you offer colour consultations, give them their own page and their own booking type, separate from the estimate. Say what happens in the visit, whether there is a fee, and how it connects to the quote. It turns an indecisive browser into a booked appointment and gives your team a natural moment to present the estimate.
Seasonal exterior work
In most of Canada, exterior painting runs in a limited window set by temperature and weather, and every paint product's label sets its own application limits. That makes timing a marketing problem. Start booking exterior estimates in late winter, run a campaign to past customers and anyone who asked last fall, and keep a waitlist once the season fills. In the colder months, shift the message to interiors, cabinets and commercial work that can be done indoors.
Commercial versus residential
Treat them as two businesses on one website. Residential pages speak to homeowners: colour, cleanliness, protecting furniture, how long the family will be displaced. Commercial pages speak to property managers and businesses: working after hours or around tenants, proof of insurance, safety documentation, scheduling large areas in phases, and invoicing. Each gets its own estimate form, because the questions are different.
Before-and-after galleries that sell
Shoot the before and after from the same spot, in similar light, with the same framing. Label each project with the room or surface, the scope (walls, trim, ceilings, cabinets), and the neighbourhood. Group galleries by type so a homeowner thinking about kitchen cabinets sees cabinets. The same photos then feed your Google Business Profile, your social posts and the follow-up after an estimate.
Review requests that get answered
Ask at the final walkthrough, while the customer is standing in the finished room. Send a short text from the crew lead's name with your direct review link, then one reminder a few days later. Ask every customer. Reviews that mention the type of job and the area also help the next homeowner see you have done work like theirs nearby. Our review generation page explains the setup.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
How do painting companies get more customers?
Make it easy to book an estimate, follow up on every quote, and show your work well. A website with separate interior, exterior and commercial pages, before-and-after galleries, a Google Business Profile with fresh photos, fast replies to calls and forms, and a review request after every job together turn more of your existing interest into booked work.
How much does painting company marketing cost?
It is priced after a free audit call. The cost depends on whether you need a new website, how many services and areas you want to target, and how much of the booking, follow-up and review system is already in place. Our guide to website costs in Canada covers what drives the price of the site.
What should a painting contractor website include?
Separate pages for interior, exterior, cabinet and commercial painting, before-and-after galleries grouped by project type, your service areas, reviews, proof of insurance for commercial clients, and an estimate form that asks about rooms, surfaces and timing and accepts photos. Online booking for estimates and colour consultations makes it easy to take the next step.
How can painters get more exterior painting jobs?
Start early. Book exterior estimates in late winter, contact past customers and anyone who asked last season, and publish exterior project photos before the weather turns. A waitlist and quick estimate follow-up help you fill the season instead of turning work away during the rush.
Should painters show prices on their website?
Many painters do not list fixed prices because every job differs, but homeowners appreciate knowing what affects cost: surface condition, prep work, ceilings and trim, number of coats and access. Explaining those factors and offering a fast estimate, sometimes from photos, builds trust without committing to a number before you have seen the job.
Do painters still need a website if most work comes from referrals?
Yes. People who hear your name from a friend usually look you up before they call. A website with your work, reviews and an easy way to book an estimate turns that referral into a booking. Without one, some of those referrals call whoever they find on Google instead.
