For roofing contractors
A roofing marketing agency for roofers who want their own leads
Roofing demand arrives in waves: a windstorm, a hard thaw, the first leak of spring. MoFluent is a Toronto-based roofing marketing agency working with roofers across Canada. We build the website, Google Maps presence and call handling that catch those waves, book inspections without phone tag, and turn your job photos into content, so you are not renting leads from a marketplace every month.
Where roofing contractor marketing breaks
Roofers rarely lack demand. They lack a system that can absorb it.
These are the gaps we look for first, because they cost jobs in the busiest weeks of the year.
Storm days swamp the phone
After high winds, every homeowner with a missing shingle calls at once. The crew is on roofs, voicemail fills up, and the callers move down the list.
Inspection requests stall
"Can someone come look at it?" turns into days of back-and-forth about times. Meanwhile the homeowner books whoever offered a slot first.
Bought leads that never become yours
Lead services can fill a gap, but you pay for every request, some services sell the same request to several roofers, and the flow stops when the spending does.
Great photos left on the drone
Aerial shots of a finished roof are some of the most persuasive content a trade can have. Most of them never leave the crew's phones.
What we build for roofers
Roofing leads without buying them
Owned lead flow comes from being easy to find and easy to book. Every piece below is set up and run for you, and connected to one CRM.
Roofing website design
Pages for each service and material you install (asphalt, metal, flat roofs, repairs, inspections), with real project photos and an inspection request form that asks the right questions.
02Google Maps and local SEO
A Google Business Profile set up as a service-area business, with regular posts and photos from real jobs, and area pages that support it.
03Missed call text back
Every unanswered call gets a text from your business number asking whether it is a leak, storm damage or a replacement quote.
04AI receptionist for storm overflow
Answers when the lines are full, takes the address and the problem, and books an inspection slot. A person can take over at any point.
05Inspection booking and follow-up
Online inspection booking, reminders, and timed follow-up on every estimate so quotes do not quietly expire.
06Review requests
A short request sent when the job is done and the site is cleaned up, from the name of the crew lead the homeowner met.
What we have built for trades
No roofing client yet. Real trades builds you can see.
We will not pretend otherwise. What we can show you are live trades systems with the same moving parts a roofing company needs.
- Marrast Contracting, a licensed electrical contractor working across the GTA: a hand-coded 190-page site with service and service-area pages, and quote forms that feed the CRM with a published lead-alert and confirmation workflow
- Ridge To River Electric in West Virginia: a hand-coded site with service and county pages, an estimate form into the CRM and a live call-tracking number
- Mark of Success Home Services, a GTA home renovation company: a consult-booking wizard that books into a calendar and sends text and email confirmations
What a free audit call covers
How your roofing company handles demand today.
- What a caller hears when your crew is on a roof
- How many steps it takes to request an inspection
- How your Google profile shows your service area and finished roofs
- What you spend on bought leads, and what you get back
- Which estimates went out with no follow-up
No obligation. Pricing comes after the call, once we know what needs fixing.
What a roofing marketing agency should plan for: storms and seasons
Roofing is seasonal in a way few trades are. The work you can do depends on the weather, and the calls you get depend on it even more. Good roofing contractor marketing plans for both.
Storm-day mode
When a storm hits, switch the system into a mode you set up in advance. Missed call texts change to storm wording ("Is water coming in right now? Reply YES and send a photo"). The website shows a storm-damage banner linking to a short triage form: is there an active leak, is anything hanging or loose, has the homeowner contacted their insurer, and photos from the ground. Active leaks go to the top of the list. Everyone else gets a confirmed inspection window instead of silence. A Google Business Profile post the same day tells searchers you are taking storm calls in their area.
The shoulder seasons
When the weather slows installs, the marketing should shift to booking the next season. Inspection campaigns to past customers, content on ice dams, attic ventilation and what to check after winter, and a waitlist for spring replacements all keep the calendar from starting at zero. Past customers are also your best source of referrals, so a check-in a year after the job does double duty.
Inspection requests that book themselves
An inspection request should end with a booked time, not a promise to call. The form asks for the address, roof age if known, material, the problem, whether there is an active leak, and photos. The customer then picks from real inspection slots. Reminders go out the day before, and the crew sees everything on one record when they arrive.
Insurance-claim questions
Homeowners with storm damage almost always ask about insurance. Answer generally and honestly: you can inspect the roof, document the damage with photos and provide a written estimate, and the homeowner should talk to their insurer about their own policy and claim. Do not promise that a claim will be approved or suggest you can handle it on their behalf unless that is truly part of your service and lawful where you work. A clear page on "what we do and what your insurer does" saves your office a lot of repeated calls.
Permit questions
Homeowners also ask whether a re-roof needs a permit. Rules vary by municipality. In Toronto, for example, the City lists replacing existing roofing material with no structural work among projects that do not need a building permit. Write the answer for the cities you serve, link the source and tell readers to confirm with their building department.
Drone and photo content
Aerial photos show a whole roof in one frame, and before-and-after pairs from the same angle are hard to argue with. Use them on project pages, in your Google Business Profile and in follow-up after an estimate. In Canada, flying a drone that weighs 250 g to 25 kg requires a Transport Canada drone pilot certificate and a registered drone. In the United States, flying for business falls under the FAA's Part 107 rules, which require a Remote Pilot Certificate. Ask homeowners before posting their house, and keep house numbers out of frame.
Where roofing fits with the other trades
The base system is the same one we build for every trade. Our contractor marketing page explains it, and our page on missed call text back for contractors has roofing-specific text examples.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How do I get roofing leads without buying them?
Build lead flow you own. That means a website with clear pages for each roofing service, a Google Business Profile set up for your service area with real job photos and steady reviews, and fast replies when people call or fill out a form. Bought leads can still fill gaps, but owned leads keep coming when you stop paying for them.
What does a roofing marketing agency do?
It should bring in requests and help you convert them. For MoFluent that means the website, local SEO and Google Maps, missed call text back, inspection booking, estimate follow-up and review requests, all connected to one CRM. Ads can sit on top once the basics are converting.
How much does roofing marketing cost?
It is priced after a free audit call. The cost depends on whether you need a new website, how many services and areas you want to target, and how much of the call handling and follow-up is already in place. Our guide to website costs in Canada explains what drives the price of the site itself.
How can a roofing company get more work in winter?
Use the slow months to fill spring. Run inspection campaigns to past customers, publish content on ice dams and winter roof problems, take repair calls fast, and keep a waitlist for spring replacements. Follow up on estimates from the fall, because many homeowners who waited are ready once the weather turns.
Do I need a licence to fly a drone for roof photos in Canada?
For most roofing drones, yes. Transport Canada requires a drone pilot certificate and registration for drones weighing 250 g to 25 kg. Flying closer to people or in controlled airspace needs the advanced certificate. Check Transport Canada's current rules before you fly, and in the US check the FAA's Part 107 requirements.
Can you help my roofing company rank on Google Maps?
Yes. We set up your Google Business Profile as a service-area business, keep it active with posts and real job photos, build supporting pages on your website and run review requests. Google bases local results mainly on relevance, distance and how well known a business is, so nobody can honestly guarantee a position.
Do you work with roofers outside Ontario?
Yes. We are based in Toronto and work with roofing companies across Canada and in the United States. Everything is built and managed remotely, including Google Business Profile setup and the phone and text system.
